Harry grew up in Flint, Michigan. As an adult, he moved to Denver,
Colorado and it was there that he was exposed to galleries and museums and began drawing and painting the unique landscape of the region.
After graduation from Central Washington University, and working towards his degree in Fine Arts, he studied at The Pacific Northwest School of Arts, Vermont School in Johnson, Vermont and under Maurice Bec in Clearly, France. He eventually settled in Vancouver, Washington where he taught in the local schools for many years before retiring to focus full time on his artwork. Harry’s paintings are in collections throughout the Western United States and France. Harry says about his work: “For many years my artistic style was considered very traditional and impressionistic. However, I have been evolving towards a more abstract style with brighter use of color and design. I try to capture a special intensity and vitality found in nature.”
Harry resides in Vancouver, Washington.
